IMPORTANT UPDATE FOR ALL CSSD MANAGERS RE OVERSEAS APPLICANTS

There has been a lot of confusion around overseas  qualified sterile technicians and the salaries that they can be offered. Sterile technicians are on  Tier 1 of the "Green List" which allows them a straight to residence visa as long as they meet stipulated criteria which includes having a job offer and their qualification verified by the NZSSA. If the qualifications are not assessed  as the same as our level 4  certificate in sterilising technology they will not get a visa. Additionally they must be offered a salary of $29.66 per hour which equates to $61,692.80 a little above step 4 of the MECA therefore can be offered step 5.
