STERILISING QUALIFICATIONS
Toi Ohomai Institute of Technology
New Zealand Certificate in Sterilising Technology (Level 4)
This is the required qualification for technicians working in hospital settings and replaces the previous Level 3 Certificate in Sterilising Technology. People working in small practice environments may also complete this Certificate.
New Zealand Diploma in Sterilising Technology (Level 5)
This qualification is for technicians in, or aspiring to, a leadership role in a reprocessing environment. If you have already completed the Certificate in Advanced Sterilising Technology see the information on what courses can be cross credited towards the Diploma.
Employer paying the fees? - where the employer is paying the study fees a purchase order number needs to be put on the enrolment application form. This will ensure the employer is invoiced and the fees paid in a timely manner.

The Open Polytechnic of New Zealand
The New Zealand Certificate in Sterilising Technology (Level 3)
This is an ideal programme to study if you use sterilisation procedures in an office based health service organisation, such as beauty therapy clinics, general medical practices, or tattoo parlours. You will gain skills in the reprocessing of reusable medical devices from decontamination through to sterilising and storage.
